2People often talk about being cruel, inhumane, and selfish. Indeed, they live in a world where material status and wellbeing are sometimes more valuable than any kind of personal features. However, I think that every person is able to be compassionate toward other people. I am convinced in that because I was helped by other people when I needed, and I learned to do the same. All members of my family shared any problem or difficulty between each other except me. When my sisters faced some difficulties our parents and relatives helped them. Later, when Ihad any problems or troubles, my parents and siblings helped me a lot. But I was a closed person, tried to keep all problems inside of myself and my family did not really know me. But, their behavior and attitude toward helping became normal for me to help people if they really need it. I remember the words of my grandmother: “A boomerang returns back to the person whothrows it”. I think that it is a truthful definition of what compassion is and it moves in a circle. I decided to make compassion day on the weekend , but honestly my attempt to make thisday was failed since I wanted this day to be perfectly kind and compassionate, which is not that easy. Thus, I woke up in the morning in a good mood and tuned in a positive way. Coincidentally, 29 of April is my nephew birthday so I started that morning by congratulating and giving presents to my lovely girl along with my other sisters and nephews. Next, we were supposed to prepare festival meal for our expected guests. I did my best in order to do everythingas it should be. I cleaned their house, prepared cake, and turned on the music aloud. When I was done at home, I had to prepare different cooking for guests. That day I decided to be nice with everyone and it was really difficult. I am the youngest daughter in the family, so I supposed to follow the rules, listen my older sisters and do more works than they do. That day my sisters felt my positive mood and started to use it; they expected that I had to do everything like cooking, cleaning after birthday as I was the youngest sister. That really frustrated and pissed me off.

3Finally I wanted to say that it is not my daughter’s birthday and I did not have to do all works. But I could not do that because I could fail my day of compassion. I continued to smile and be nice.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
