World History 6.02 Essay Alexis Ditterline While the Industrial Revolution had both positive and negative effects on society and the economy, the negative effects outweighed the positive. The Industrial Revolution brought factories and mills to the countries of England, America, and Japan. Factories popped up all over these countries when people realized they could create products faster using them. But with everything, there was good and bad that came from it. These new factories created opportunities that were outweighed by the negative effects. Big companies were being run by wealthy that wanted to mass produce product as quickly as possible.
