1. What major economic changes resulted from the Neolithic Revolution? After the transition to the Neolithic Age, one of the main economic changes was the development of  agriculture and farming. With these changes there was also a shift in equality between men and women.  Since men worked the fields while women tended the household chores society shifted to a patriarchy. 2. How did the development of writing change the societies of ancient Mesopotamia? Mesopotamian peoples used writing mainly for record keeping as well as keeping track of past events and  practices so that they could share information with one another. Writing also enabled them to communicate their ideas in new ways as is evident in the epic poem “The Epic of Gilgamesh”. 3. Give a definition of civilization, and apply that definition to Sumerian society.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
