Introduction - Project management can be  defined  as a practice that focuses on the planning, the organising, leading and the controlling of activities involved within projects. A project plan can be seen as the master document  that will aid in guiding the running of the project  ( Roberts, 2017).  Planning sets the foundation for  implementation of a successful project. Project plans can further be defined by its process stages as  follows - The  Activities  set out when putting together a plan aid in prioritising, managing time and  working out and assigning resources needed etc. The  Tasks  that are set will list a process of all the  smaller tasks needed to be done in order to implement and complete the project successfully. Then  Resources  will need to be worked out, this will be things such as what is needed in order to implement  and complete the project, such as any equipment that's needed, and humans etc ( Ray, 2017). Project aim - The main aim of this research project is to find out what impact digital  technology has on McDonald's overall business operations and to determine if and how with the  use of digital technology,  improvements can be made throughout their organisation in order to  improve their customer satisfaction levels, profitability, competitive advantage, daily operations  and service time etc Project definition - This project research will be conducted on McDonald’s in order to  ascertain and determine how digital technology has an impact on their business activities, and  will look into how it has aided in transforming McDonald's business activities in various  departments throughout their organisation during 2015-2017, it will assess how it can further aid
