Geology of Capital Reef National Park Discussion In this discussion you will apply your knowledge of the geology of National Parks located on the Colorado Plateau.    Capital Reef National Park is in Utah relatively close to Arches  and Canyonlands National Parks.    Most of rock formations in the park should be familiar,  because they are directly correlated with the formations in the Parks we studied from this region.    Use the online U.S. Geological Survey and National Park Service information  along with other text and web sources to investigate the rock units, landforms and rock  structures in Capital Reef National Park.    Discuss with your group what is similar and  what is strikingly different about the geology of Capital Reef National Park compared to  the other parks on the Colorado Plateau.
