` Riordan Manufacturing - Nesting Strategies POS421 – Windows Server Networking Riordan Manufacturing Nesting Strategies Riordan Manufacturing’s CIO has the requested the IT Managers to implement a nesting strategy to classify users into groups using the scopes available in Windows. This strategy will be based upon the previous service request for an Active Directory implementation plan. The strategies are concentrated at the OU level and will be designed with the greatest impact and with the least amount of keystrokes. Microsoft Windows Server 2003 is the software used for this plan. Below is the desired Active Directory structure for Riordan Manufacturing (Singer, 2011). This will be the main layout and design for the two main locations and its satellite locations. Figure 1: Proposed Active Directory Structure Overview

` Riordan Manufacturing or RM has several locations spanning North America and The Peoples Republic of China. Within these three locations there are several departments in each branch that need to be able to communicate seamlessly. Previously, these three separate locations did not fluidly communicate with each other in an efficient manner. Active Directory is a mature technology that can help to automate and facilitate network administration. We must create Active Directory Groups. With the proper scope defined and clearly configured nesting strategies
