CHARLES LADD 2 Charles Ladd was born on 23 rd November 1932 and died on 4 th of August 2014.He was an American, a politician and an attorney who served as Massachusetts auditor. He was a teacher and a civil engineer of soft clays. He was married for a period of 55years to his beloved late Carol Ballou Ladd, and they had three children, nine grandchildren, and three great- grandchildren. His brother’s name was Richard Ladd. He got his degree in physics and mathematics from Bowdoin college in 1955 and another degree in building and construction from MIT. His education didn’t stop at that because in 1957 he did his master’s in civil engineering in the same university; MIT and a degree in soil engineering in 1961. He served the MIT institution as an instructor, assistant professor, associate professor and chairman of the civil engineering department until his retirement in 2001. He was a great motivation, and a role model to many of his students and his work have
