Caleb Myers ENG-206HN Prof. Raftery March 27, 2018 Liars Cost and Benefit of the Honors College Many students from the Honors College at Grand Canyon University (GCU) are not happy with the current benefits of the honors college for the work and extra hours they put into it. The honors college at GCU promises many benefits for joining and some are fulfilled, like free dinners to get together and socialize with other students of the honors college, more advanced classes, and Juniper Hall occupancy. However, they also promised the honors students an easier time acquiring a job on and off campus, yet there are many honors students that are still hunting for one while others are working. This is an issue! What I am proposing is to change the application and hiring process of on campus jobs, by first looking through all the applicants who are in the honors college and prioritize those students over the students who have not earned or worked for that privilege.
