COMMUNITY AGENCY REPORT ON SNAP AND TANF PROGRAMS Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) is a welfare program that provide cash aid and services to enable them gain access to basic needs such as food, shelter and medical care to vulnerable families living within the communities in the county of Riverside in the state of California. Supplementary Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) provides the financial assistance to the needy families or persons to allow them access the nutritional products available within the community to make their health well being is catered for .

STEPS TAKEN BY SNAP OR TANF TO HELP VULNERABLE FAMILIES OR PERSONS The local SNAP/TANF offices receive the application The application is then immediately processed by the officers working in the office The applicant is served with notification that informs him or her if he or she is eligible for the program The SNAP/TNAF office integrates eligible applcants into the program and are officially entitled to receive benefits immediately.
