Motion Detection assignment
Introduction Introduction Motion detection systems in vehicles have allowed for enhanced safety features and driver assistance. They can be used to augment the driver’s interaction with the vehicle by providing information about surrounding vehicles, blind spot warnings and collision avoidance including automatically applying the breaks. Motion detection is the foundation for self driving and connected cars allowing for safer roads and fewer road fatalities. Adaptive cruise control Adaptive cruise control or ACC is a technology used in cars to automatically maintain distance between the driver’s car and the vehicle ahead. Using onboard sensors, the car can determine the speed and distance between itself and the vehicle ahead and set the speed a follow distance accordingly as programmed in by the driver. ACC allows the driver to stay more relaxed during long drives where the speed is changing infrequently
