Physics Lab Report Name: Title: Conservation Laws (Lab) Hypothesis: According to Newton’s third law, I hypothesize that whatever action is applied to one side of the cradle, will have an equal and opposite reaction to the other. Overview: Using a simulated Newton’s Cradle, we can observe the action and reaction of a ball/balls dropping from one side of the pendulum and striking the other series of balls. Procedure: See Lab Instructions Data Table: See Lab data sheet(s) Uncertainty & Error: This would include the mass and weight of balls, length of string on each ball of the pendulum, and precision of height upon which the ball is dropped. Conclusion/Summary: Application: ______________________________________________________________________ Notes for each heading: Name: Title : Conservation Laws (Lab) Hypothesis: This experiment is conducted by dropping a series of balls 1-4 from one side of a Newton’s Cradle. Then observing the reaction of each drop of the series in sequential order. According to Newton’s third law, I hypothesize that whatever action is applied to one side of the cradle, will have an equal and opposite reaction to the other.
