Care of Patient with Hypoglycemia Defined as Blood sugar < 80 (per ADA 2015) Immediately provide glucose! If alert and able to swallow, give OJ. If lethargic without an IV, give IM Glucagon If lethargic with an IV, give IV Dextrose 50%
