A Biohuman I exhaustedly drag myself to the hall, follow the light at the end of the way. As I take all my guts to move forward, I feel the bitterness breaking every blood vessels circulated my heart, depriving any vital force left in my spirit. Literally, the world is a ruthless reality, as it has never been existed. The world, in which I live, has been suffocated under the most severe condition ever in history. The whole planet is suffering from series of disasters and catastrophes: epidemic diseases, hunger, global warming and terrorism. There is only a place on Earth remaining traces of life. It is Metroski - my home city. Everything was like a dream in Metroski before the chemical explosion was to happen. Now, even a single tree could not be found. Luckily, thanks to the extraordinary development of technology, Metroskians still strive to exist. However, nothing will last forever if "a fever" can't be cured... As I stamp heavy feet on the ground, I get cut by debris lying all over the devastated cement road. I could feel fetid smell of rotting bodies and radioactive decaying from a nearby industrial factory. Floating on a dizzy grey sky is exhaling smoke from rusted mechanical machines and cars. In the middle of nowhere stands an eerie lanky building. Although the entire city is as old as tales, the building keeps its modernity in an eccentric infrastructure: it is covered in solid limestone, with sharp needles attached to its surface. The government constructed the building in that way to protect the remaining heritages, in case the world comes to an end. In the heart of the building, there is a laboratory, which holds a significant mission: saving humanity from being on the verge of extinction. In there, many painful experiments have been conducted on human by a scientist named Scott. 1

Scott has never succeeded in any trials so far; thus, I am his last hope, I am humanity's last hope. In fact, I was born with an innate immunity to any kinds of diseases and pollution. I inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen, like the Calvin's process of photosynthesis in botany. Hence, the city mayor Lucas and a group of scientists including Scott want to replicate my DNA for developing a specialized serum called T-45B. They all yearn for an immediate cure for every diseases. It sounds like a lofty honor since I am the last solution for humanity. However, the fact that I will die freaks me out. From the day I was born, I cannot bear any acts of sacrifice. I am a typical narcissist so even a bite in my finger would drive me to tears. My parents always indulged me as I am their only child. In my childhood, life was so easy for me. They gave me everything I wanted. Since I knew I was the luckiest one in the world, I had expressed myself in a very ostentatious manner toward others.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
