Anxiety is the top concern among college students followed by depression, and relationship problems. A negative relationship between the two was found. Students with higher levels of depression demonstrated lower academic activity than students with low levels of depression. However it must be noted that the relationship between depression symptoms and academic functioning is not entirely clear. It should also be considered that many students feel that their grades are a representation of their character.
