3 INTRODUCTION A business environment refers to all the factors which have an effect on the business. These factors may be classified into two categories, external and internal factors. EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT The external environment of an organization refers to those factors outside the company that affect the company's ability to function. In most cases, a business has little or no control over these external factors. These external factors include: 1. Political environment Changes in the government policy make up the political factors. The political environment can impact business organizations in many ways. It could add a risk factor and lead to a major loss . The change can be economic, legal or social. It could also be a mix of these factors. An example of such a factor is political stability. Lack of political stability in a country effects business operations. This is especially true for the companies which operate internationally. For example, an aggressive takeover could overthrow a government. This could lead to riots, looting and general disorder in the environment.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
