Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of medical, nursing, technical, services. Establish work schedules and assignments for staf Monitoring the use of diagnostic services, inpatient beds, facilities, and staf Develop and maintain computerized record management systems to store and process data such as personnel activities and information, and to produce reports Work Hours: What are the typical work hours? Can you bring work home? The flexibility associated with this career is above average with alternative working schedule and work life balance. Typically more than 40 hours per week, but has a set schedule and routine. Training: What education is required? What major(s) are appropriate? Typically, medical and health services managers have at least a bachelor’s degree in health administration. To open opportunities, a master’s degree in public administration, business administration or public health would help.
