Maryam Muhammad A00017436 MGT 302 Dr. Hassan Yusuf 18/04/17 Discussion Questions 1. How might the increasing diversity of the workforce affect the design of employee benefits packages in large companies? Diversity in the workforce affects the design of employee benefits packages by causing more and more employers to provide flexible packages. Employers that adopt a flexible benefits program recognize that their employees have diverse needs that require different benefits packages. 2. The United States mandates only four benefits, yet U.S. employers provide many other benefits—such as health insurance, retirement benefits, and paid vacations—voluntarily. Why do so many employers provide these benefits even though they are not legally required to do so? The benefits package a firm offers can support management's efforts to attract employees. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
