2 WATER POLLUTION AND LEUKAEMIA Water Pollution and Leukaemia Xu et al. (2016) argues that cancer still remains a menace and a massive killer beside an intensive research to find its cure. According to World Health Organization Report: 2012, 8.2 million people succumbed to cancer in 2012 and other 14 million were reported to have contracted it in the same year. Additionally, there is an expectation of 70% cancer increase in the global index. Cancer is basically a rampage of cell division. According to Ebenstein (2014), Hoekstra & Wiedmann (2014) and Whitmee et al. (2014) water pollution is prevalent focus in the entire world as respective countries try to address the impact of industrialization to the environment. According Gleick and Ajami (2014) over 2.5 billions of world population are not in a population to access fresh water. Chlorination by-products present in drinking water occurs from the reaction of the chlorine with the organic matter in the water. Reaction occurs as a result of wastes from industries, wastes collected by the municipal and the agricultural wastes. According to Mills et al. (1998) all of the chlorine by-products are found to have a connection with tumours.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
