Devin Miertschin EDP 310 4-6-09 Concentration Notes Concentration addresses the degree to which I manage my learning by eliminating distractions and using methods to maintain my focus on the task at hand. Concentration makes I more effective and efficient in my studies P.E.- For example, when I focus and concentrate on my home work or any task at hand I am able to finish it faster and it is of better quality. I need to decide who or what is responsible for holding my attention. I need to decide what has happened when I are reading and suddenly realize that I am not aware of the contents of what I am reading. o I need to decide why I "tune-out" sometimes while listening to my instructor. I need to decide the types of happenings that distract me from focusing on your academic tasks o For example, when I find myself drifting off from class lectures or doing homework I think about what causes this and I try to avoid it the next time I have a chance to. There are many factors in both our environment (external distractions) and within ourselves
