Review for Unit 5 Exam (final) As with other reviews, this is probably not comprehensive, but is a collection of topics and structures that I think are important for review. By now you should have spent ample time reviewing and studying the material of the lower limb. My intent with this is that it might help to jog your memory about some things we discussed that you’ve overlooked or not emphasized as much as you ought. Be sure that you know how to identify the osteological features listed on the osteology hand out. Know how to identify a pelvis as male or female When considering osteological features, it would be useful to learn them in conjunction with the muscles that attach to them. In other words, don’t just memorize the feature, but know what originates or inserts from/on it. Know what bones articulate with each other at the hip joint, Sacroiliac joint, knee joint, ankle, subtalar, and transverse talar joints. Know what actions can occur at these joints. Know what ligaments stabilize these joints.
