Chemistry 107 October 29, 2007 Experiment 7 Summary: There were two parts to this experiment. Part A consisted of gathering two temperature probes and connecting them to the computer. The computer was opened up in Logger Pro to Experiment 7A. During this part, two chemicals were used. The first set of chemicals was ethanol and propanol. The temperature probes were immersed into these chemicals for 45 seconds. After 45 seconds, the computer was instructed to gather data while the probes were in the solution. After 15 seconds of being in the solution the probes were removed and the computer continued to gather data, while the probes were pointed towards the vent hoods. This process was repeated for the following chemical combinations: 1-butanol/n-pentane, methanol/n-hexane. Also for each of these trials, a graph was printed out to indicate the results from the experiment. Part B dealt vapor pressure at different intervals of degrees. In this section we were told to find the pressure
