Professional Development PlanPage 2Part I: Professional Interest The profession that interests me most is Project Management. I would like to have a career doingsomething that I not only enjoy, but that also allows me to use my strengths. As someone who is charismatic, an excellent communicator, who loves to solve problems, and help lead people to accomplish their goals I think I would not only be an excellent project manager, but I would also enjoy it. In my I believe that my leadership skills would be used well in a position like Project Management. My MBTI results say that I am ENFJ type, ‘the protagonist’. I have excellent people skills. I think that a big part of business is reading the room, and the people in the room, to respond accordingly. I am someone who likes to give lots of positive reinforcement and would be able to praise and provide my team with extrinsic rewards, which would make my team more loyal and invested in return. I take a great deal of pride in assisting other to achieve their goals. “Leadership is the ability to get extraordinary achievement from ordinary people” (Tracy, B). I love being able to coach people to extraordinary. My success factors also include having excellent time management skills, which is something I really have going for me if I were to become a Project Manager. I am quite organized, and I work quite well under pressure. The feedback on my MBTIresults agrees with that, indicating I have excellent time management skills. It said, ‘you are likely busy, but not overwhelmed’ (Personality Results).Part I: External Factors There are several obstacles in my way, some internal, some external.
