Study Guide for test #2 which will be on Thursday, February 26 and will cover chapters 4,5, and 6. If you don't understand something or "can't find" something, please do the following: Read the lecture notes I put on my webpage (use "search" or "find"). Look in the textbook's index or glossary at the back of the book. Look it up in your dictionary or online at a website like www.dictionary.com . Go to websites like www.google.com , http://www.nytimes.com/ , www.cnn.com , or www.washingtonpost.com and search for it. If you still can't find the answer, then email me with your question or bring your question to class before the test. Bring a scantron and pencil to the test. Also, bring your student ID. I will want to see it when you turn in your test. The questions are multiple choice, matching, and true/false (true is A; false if B). The questions on the test will NOT be in the same order as the questions below. There are 91 points total. If you get 88 correct, you get 100%; 3 are extra credit. If you leave one blank, it counts the same as a wrong answer, so don't leave any answers blank. The questions are about: 1) In the movie The Gods Must Be Crazy , to get Xixo out of jail, Andrew Steyn says he will employ him as what? 2) In the movie The Gods Must be Crazy , the end of the world is probably which geographic feature (p. 230 and Fig 6.9)? The Great Escarpment, the Desigment Mountians 3) Much of the movie The Gods Must be Crazy takes place in which country? 4) What did the Spanish first concentrate on removing from Latin America (p. 79)? Precious metals—silver and gold 5) Mexico City (p. 82-84 and Fig. 4.6). High in altitude and surrounded by mountains but in a “bowl” so the pollution doesn’t leave the air. Mexico City is sinking because they pull the water up from the ground 6) What is the altiplano (p. 86 and fig. 4.8)? Large plateau in Boliva and Peru

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
