3 Packaging - environmental issues - Reduction Reducing the input of raw materials and choosing materials that are “environmentally friendly” helps conserve the natural resources. - Recycling Packages that can be collected and re-used may limit the waste. However, even recyclable containers end up as waste. - Recovery of materials Packages can be collected and the materials used to manufacture new products. Note: this is not always very economical or environmental friendly either.
