Assignment 5 Due Saturday, March 6, 2009 by 11:59 pm A small company has 4 types of workers who are paid on hourly bases and they are paid based on their skills according to the following table: Skill Level Hourly Pay Rate $ 1 15.00 2 25.00 3 72.00 4 125.00 Each worker could be working between 0 - 60 hours per week; any hours over 40 and less than or equal 50 gets 1.5 time and any hours over 50 to 60 is paid 2 times regular pay rate. In addition workers with skill levels 2, 3, and 4 are allowed to participate in benefits program according to the following table: Also worker with Skill level 4 may participate in the matching retirement plan up to maximum of 5% of the gross salary. Matching means the company matches employee’s contribution, if they put 5% the company will also contribute 5% to the fund. All deductions are before tax. (They don’t get taxed.) Taxes are calculated based on the following table: Gross Pay after Deductions Tax Rate % 0 - 2000 0 2000.01 – 3000.00 3% of amount over $2000
