The Podcast Coursepack. In Fall 2006, the students in the “Structured Study Groups,” who earn Honors credit in Chem 210, created a set of visually enhanced podcasts for a small set of the old examination problems in the 2006-07 Course Pack. In 2007, these problems were retired from the Course Pack, and they are only available at the CTools web site. The idea of these problems is consistent with the philosophy of Course Pack problems in general: these solutions are the equivalent of sitting down with some classmates to work through some chemistry problems. These solutions are unedited, and they are not checked for accuracy at all. This is the situation you would find yourself in if you were in a group: you will need to decide if the solution being presented to you is reasonable or not. If you rely on these solutions as an “answer key,” you are making the wrong choice. If you cannot critically evaluate what you hear in these student presentations, then you are not, in fact, learning in the way that you ought to be. Problems related to the first exam: PC1 – PC9 Problems related to the second exam: PC10 – PC15 Problems related to the third exam: PC16 – PC20 Problems related to the final exam: PC21 – PC33

The chemistry of interstellar clouds provides some extreme conditions that lead to unusual molecular structures. For example, the Lewis structure, below, is one of five resonance forms for this particular C 3 H 2 molecular structure, for which there is some evidence in the interstellar mix. Note that this
