My boyfriend and I have been together for eight years but I hope one day soon we can have a special day to celebrate our love. I was so excited when you reached out to me for my experiences in myinterpersonal relations class and I would love to hear about your experiences in your class. Whenused correctly, understanding the principles of communication will enable the user to communicate effectively. Both you and your partner should get a better understanding of how each of you communicate verbally and non-verbally. I know that you two made a commitment toeach other for a reason. Both of your love each other. Let us go over a few concepts I learned in my class to help you both become more effective communicators.Interpersonal Relationships.My textbook from class defines Interpersonal communication as, “A unique type of communication that involves two individual interacting via face-to-face of mediated channels.” (Bevan & Sole Section 1.3) I urge you to constantly work on your verbal, non-verbal, and written communication. Marriage is one of the strongest bonds a person can form in a lifetime. Communication is vital to keeping a long-lasting relationship operating smoothly. However, withany relationship comes barriers. The emotional intelligence should also be considered in a relationship. Culture can also be a barrier. As beings that are naturally social, we crave connections with others. We communicate to accomplish many goals and help relate to each other. We communicate to help identify ourself, to learn about others and the world, and to build and maintain relationships. A common reason people interact with others is to satisfy personal needs. Self-actualization and Self-disclosure can also affect a relationship. Choose your verbal and nonverbalmessages carefully. Working in the mobile carrier industry I provide assistance on customers accounts daily. Every day I assist a customer with upgrading their device. Normally I can get an understanding of what device the customer is best suited for by listening to how they use their device as well as the features they consider to be important, like speakers, size of the screen, or the camera. Acknowledging each person has different points of views and are biased in different waysis also very important to consider. What may be important to one person may not be priority to another, thusly influencing the decisions each person makes. This is also important for having different points of views, to me this is effective for building a team. If a team is put together and
