Since they are located in theSouthern hemisphere, their seasons are the opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere, like Canada.Therefore, while in Canada there is winter in January, in Buenos Aires there is summer in January.Besidesbeing the hottest month of the year, January is also the wettest month withan average of 100mm of rain.(Holiday WeatherThe most recent event that has impacted the whole country are:A missing submarine that got lost on November 15thwith 44 crew members. It is a very difficultsituation for the crew’s family, especially because Christmas is coming up and they have to face it insuch terrible circumstances. Search has been difficult because the submarine left no clue, it was as if itjust vanished. However,the search for the San Juan continues without pause, despite of the challenges.(Miami Herald)DNA technology is providing thousands of families to reunite with their missing relatives who they wereseparated from due to the “Dirty War” that took place in the 1970s and 80s which killed about 30,000people and put up for adoption many children. “Today, forty years on, efforts are being made to addressthe issue as grandparents seek their grandchildren who disappeared or people who suspect they were putup for adoption as for answers” (Aljazeera, 2017)The centre-right president Mauricio Macri has been criticized for “banning representatives of 26international NGOs from attending a World Trade Organisation (WTO) ministerial conference in BuenosAires because of their postings on social media”.
