CAS 100L03 Assignment01/28/2017Analysis of the “Remarks on the Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. This essay will be a rhetorical analyzation of the speech recited by Robert F. Kennedy which was “Remarks on the Assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. This speech was delivered on April 4, 1968, to inform the public of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. I myself wasable to detect a somber tone in the voice of the speaker as soon as he approached the microphone. The speech was delivered in a flowing and sincere manner which gave the audiencea comforting feeling. This comfort was influenced by his ethos, at the time he was a Democratic presidential candidate, he had experienced a similar loss, and used emotional triggers when engaging the audience. Throughout the essay, we will analyze the delivery and the perception received by the audience in the following speech. His audience at the time was separated into four groups, he aimed to reach Indianapolis and the American people we know this because he says, “all our fellow citizens”.
