2Erick Erickson was known to us as a psychologist with a huge ego, he develop one themost influential theories of development. One of his main element was focused in his theory was to have an development on ones ego identity, Erick wanted his theory to be centered on psychosocial development rather than psychosexual. Being faced with new stages of development and new challenges, our sense of personal identity s shaped by the experience and ones interaction with individuals helping with identifying our actions, behavior and beliefs as wegrow and develop our thoughts throughout life. Erick believed in each stage of theory when a conflict is serves a turning point in development, these are centered on either developing a psychological quality or falling to develop . (Feldman, 2014.)In the case of Talia, who is a 17 year old biracial girl who is dealing with the fifth stages of Erick Erickson’s Psychosocial Theory which is “Identity vs Confusion”. During this stage plays and essential role in developing a sense of one’s personal identity causing the influence behavior and development for the rest of a person life span. (Feldman, 2014.) The case of Talia who lives in a broken home, losing the experience of her father side of family background, not knowing all of her identity since her parents’ divorce causing her father to move away.
