Ontario Honeybees Main Objective: The main objective of this project is to research trends in Ontario beekeeping in order to determine the effects climate, pesticides, and legislation has on the number of beekeeper’s colonies in Ontario. Statement of Research Question: Define Variables Hypothesis statement and explanation Descriptive Statistics: The following statistical analysis should be covered in the final project report. A summary of this report will be presented as a presentation. 1. Summary Descriptive Statistics Important descriptive statistics such as Mean, Median, Mode, etc. should be computed, and interpreted. Mode Mode No. Colonies 1982 to 2015 110000 Mode No. Colonies 2009 to 2015 #N/A Mode No. Beekeepers 1982 to 2015 4500 Mode No. Beekeepers 2009 to 2015 #N/A Interpretation Between the years of 1985 and 2015, the most frequent number of bee colonies were 110,000 per year with a frequency of 3 years. Between the years of 2009 and 2015, all the numbers of colonies per year were independent and there was not a single frequent number of colonies in any given year. Between the years of 1982 and 2015, the most frequent number of beekeepers was 4500 per year, with a frequency of 7 years. However, between 2009 and 2015, the number of beekeepers per year was independent and there was no frequent entry. Ontario Honeybees Interpretation Between 1982 and 2015, when the bee colonies were ranked according to quantity, the middle value was 87,500 compared with the period between 2009 and 2015 which had a middle value of 97, 500. Similarly, when the number of beekeepers per year was ranked according to quantity, the middle most number was 3,800 in the period between 1982 and 2015 and 2,900 in the period between 2009 and 2015.
