The lines of communication between men and women have always, at best, been strained. For me, this assignment is a little difficult. I am a lesbian, with no close male friends. I have a brother in law that I cannot stand. I do sometimes have conversations with my brother and my dad, but not very interesting conversations. I do not enjoy football, and that seems to be all they care about. My best friend is a woman, and I have an adult daughter who I often have deep conversations with. I do not have any close friends, male or female, because I am a bit of a loner. For the sake of the assignment I will discuss a conversation I recently had with my son in law, who I absolutely adore. Brad and I were having a conversation about my daughter, his wife’s inability to conceive a child. He does not have any children and neither does Brandi. There is no indication as to who is “at fault” or who’s “pluming doesn’t work properly.” They make a comfortable living for
