Nix 1 Aungrey Nix Professor Lisa Eddins ENC1101 1 May 2018 Pops a Hero Without a Cape Many people see a hero as comic book character or a famous athlete. Iro Joe Lewis Sr. “Pops” showed me how to be a remarkable man and most especially what it is to be a true hero by taking on accountability, willing to give a helping hand no matter the implication, and always to live life to the fullest so you have a story of your own to tell. Pops was an exceptional and intimidating man standing 6”4 tall and 250 lbs. who carried a lot of pride and glorified war stories, but most of all he always did the best for others no matter what. I just didn’t admire Pops; I looked up to him in many ways because he was a superman in my eyes. Fatherhood is a big responsibility and many men run from these it, but it takes a remarkable man to run to it. I was seven years old when Pops married my mom, he had one son and my mom had five kids including me. I don’t know about many people but that is a lot of kids to have going from one to six. Pops treated all of us like we were his
