Advantage Energy Technology Data Center case 1 Project With AET operating in the highly competitive petroleum industry as one of the top national software companies for oil jobbers and gasoline distributors, it was essential for Brian to conduct a preliminary analysis of the anticipated completion date for the Data Center Migration Project. More importantly, the executive committee wants to know what is the probability of completing the project before the scheduled time of 68 days as prior estimates and the resultant expected project duration is 69 days. Under those circumstances, upon utilizing the PERT analysis, Brian can report the probability of completing the migration project will be less than 34.5%. However, in order to ensure a 93% probability of completion within 68 days must be extended to 72-73 days. Accounts Payable Although the sales force is very anxious to beat the delivery time by two days, unfortunately, the estimated probability of reducing the expected project duration by two days will be ≈ 24%. However, in light of the committee requesting to calculate the expected project duration to ensure a 98% chance to complete the project, Brian can confidently publish the “drop dead date” for the clients to expect 156 days instead of the 149 days with a 38% likelihood for completion. Traditionally, one of AET’s primary competitive advantages has been the company’s trademard IT reliability. Due to the complexity of this project we will have to use a parallel method of implementation.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
