Keyron BlackFinal Argumentative Essay While there is hope that everyone will be saved, I view it as possible but there are a considerable number people that won’t commit themselves to praising God and completing the process of salvation along with sustaining the faith needed in order to increase one’s chances of being saved. If we all would commit ourselves to God and be saved as well as obtain genuine faith in Christ then I could imagine everyone being saved but sadly that isn’t the truth. There arepeople that don’t believe in Christ so they won’t commit themselves and there are people that don’t have the faith which is sacrament to baptism in order to commit themselves to Christ. Additionally, according to Augustine those who aren’t united to Christ are held by Satan in eternal death and only those who are reborn of water and the Spirit can enter the Kingdom of God. But, in the Synod of Orange he believes that divine mercy will mold those who are unwilling to eventually be willing to commit to Christ. Additionally, Gregory explains that those unable to progress in union with God will be placed in fire for cleansing/remediation. Since the Synod of Orange states that those who may be currently rejecting the notion of electing to commit to Christ through the process of salvation would eventually be conditioned into becoming willing to conform to the acceptance of Christ, does this mean that anyone could just not commit to salvation and be molded into being saved? This would mean that the love and faith for Christ won’t be genuine because if it was then those who didn’t initially elect to salvation would have actually at least made strides towards preparing themselves for the commitment by performing good works, ameliorating themselves within and attempting to
