Remember the features of Revolutionaryfighting you read about in the first part of this lesson.Bunker Hill was easily the most disheartening, yet memorable battle that I fought in during theRevolution. My brothers and I knew we were no match again the British, as we had run out ofammunition, had fewer men, and were generally weaker in comparison to the redcoats. Our commander, aware of our situation, told us " Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes." We, the soldiersunworthy of the name, took these orders seriously in a lousy attempt to protect both our lives and liberty.
