This course will expose the motivated businessand technology-oriented student to key management theories, models and tools in strategy, finance,accounting, commercialization, marketing and sales. We will also explore the role and impact ofleadership and culture in achieving business value through organizational effectiveness andcapability. We will spend the majority of our time skill-building and learning about business through acombination of assigned readings, seminar lectures, guest lectures and case studies. Cases will bedrawn from current technology companies and will provide an opportunity to apply newly learnedskills to evaluate the external competitive environment, the projected business opportunity, thefirm’s advantages and gaps and the identification of key business drivers.
