My dad had suggested I start by learningon a manual so I could drive every car I would come across. Learning how to drive a stick shiftwas very difficult. My dad had warned me how long it would take to be able to drive a stick shiftbut I was very determined to learn. I figured even failing to learn how to drive a car was betterthan not driving at all.My firstdriving lesson was sitting in my car in an empty parking lot attempting to juststart the car without stalling out.I failed almost every time. My seconddriving lesson was tryingto shift into second gear without jolting the car.I failed almost every time. Learning to drive amanual continued like this until I finally mastered it which I can admit, took quite some time.Eventually I mastered starting the car without stalling most of the times that I tried and beingable to shift through all six gears, even if it wasn’t the smoothest of shifting.
