Casey Rohwein Dr. Roehrle AP Lang B 8 November 2017 Quotes and Analysis 1. “But eating from Dumpsters is the thing that separates the dilettanti from the professionals.” (9) The author understands what a big step it is to actually eat from a dumpster. In the whole essay he shows how he is aware of the stigmatism that comes from dumpster diving. But he does not become defensive or try to refute it this makes the essay less bias and opinionated. 2. “Some divers would consider this a boon, but being suddenly and thoroughly intoxicated in a public place in the early afternoon is not my idea of a goodtime.” (32) The author still wants to look like a good person which may be a reason getting drunk in public does not seem fun. Many divers who need to dive to survive may hate their life but the author who does not have to but chooses to dumpster dive is happy with his life. So he does not resort to numbing put his life like some others may choose to do.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
