Disadvantages The disadvantages of these types of sites are that they take a cut of each transaction, provide limited storefront customization, and you must play by their rules (whatever they may be). In the long run you may be losing profits on each transaction by paying out fees. Also it may be hard to really build an authentic brand on a limited platform.
