The conflict that I will be explaining today is the Civil War in Syria. The Syrian Civil War all started because in 2011 there was a successful uprising called the Arab Spring, the Arab Spring overthrew the Tunisia’s and Egypt’s presidents. That March in 2011 the peaceful protest started in Syria because of the perceived injustice that the Syrian people felt because fifteen boys were detained and tortured for writing graffiti on the walls in support for the Arab Spring. One of the boys that was thirteen years old was killed after being brutally tortured. While the protests were going the president of Syria Bashar al-Assad was at rage, he responded to the protests by killing hundreds of demonstrators and imprisoning many more. That July in 2011 people of the military began having shifting perceptions because they also did not believe in Assad’s regime so they announced the formation of the Free Syrian Army, a rebel group aiming to
