Introduction Much of the reading students are assigned today are not found in a traditional textbook. Instructors use online articles and course readers. When you are preparing these resources for your students, it is best to remember that you may have students with disabilities in your class. Many students with disabilities may not be able to access the material unless you follow a few simple steps when preparing the material for your students. Students who are blind or low vision, or learning disabled may need to use special software to access your classroom materials. If your paper handouts are blurry, written on, highlighted, or over photocopied the process of making these materials accessible to students with disabilities may become extraordinarily difficult. The content of the articles may inevitably need to be retyped. Whenever you can, please use articles from our online library resources.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
