Why We Love to Hate HR …and What HR Can Do About It Human resources can significantly impact an organization performance. An efficiently manage HR team can increase employee performance and enhance organization growth. Peter Cappelli, the author of ‘Why We Love to Hate HR …and What HR Can Do About It’ (Harvard Business Review, 2015), highlight HR challenges in the workplace. Cappelli discuss criticism about HR functions and outline steps that HR leaders can use to transform HR function. Criticism on HR is primarily collected through subjective data (i.e. The role of HR, in the eye of an employee, is view as “bossy” or “demanding” ). HR leaders are focusing too much toward “administrivia” - administrative tasks that are time-consuming and labor-intensive - and should instead, focus on strategic management for long-term business success. Recruitment and retention is still the main concern for HR in healthcare because recruiting and retaining the best healthcare talent is crucial to the organization success.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
