It is considered as picturesor words that carry many messages behind it.However, art on walls have started withcavemen and nowadays is created for huge different reasons , also it showed up in the late1960’s and it has been developing since ever. Graffiti is an art form, there are reasons,which concerns the recognition of that graffiti as an art form such as, the beauty standardof graffiti, also why is it an art, which is prone to criticism as an illegal art andincoherence or receptive presentation to people in streets or on buildings. The objectiveof this paper will explain how graffiti art can deal with these concerns and prove that it isa form of art, is graffiti an art or vandalism?Many people consider graffiti as an art crime towards them and they find it disturbingwithout looking deeply into it, but actually, these people are missing many mysteriesbehind these drawings and words, doesn’t the public realize that this kind of art iscommunicating with them? Graffiti is about freedom since you can express, create,analyze and even raise a question. It is important because it is similar to music as itreflects reality of our culture. In addition, it delivers messages to other people byenhancing a space by images, words, either colors or style not to mention that graffitisometimes raises political questions. Moreover, you feel curious to know who did thispainting, why he came up with this drawing and why did he chose a certain location of
graffiti. This kind of art takes the normal to the next level of beauty making it thousandtimes interesting. We should not deny that graffiti is a beautiful crime. In addition, graffitibecause of its colors and the atmosphere it provides should change the negative views ofthose who refuse such form of art. Literature review As the presence of many complicated issues, the fact does exist somewhere between two major points or extremes. As well, enquire and doubt about who does graffiti and what is the aim or point behind it, but the answers are kept dull and blind instead of not responded.Art historians believe that the word “graffiti” comes from an Italian word “graffiato” which signifies “scratched”. In addition, this term occurred from the idea that old graffiti forms were sculptured on walls with sharp objects.Graffiti existed long time ago.in reality, the first time it occurred was when someone usedan animal bone to sculpture his first drawings on the walls, but some people do not believe that these drawings are public art nor graffiti. For instance of public graffiti that can be traced back to ancient Greeks and romans time, as they displayed popular ancient forms of graffiti such as announcements about love, quotes and political slogans.
