Weekly Posts Post 1 The CMS-1500 form was recently updated in 2014. What was updated and what were the reasons behind this update? It seems to me that the main reason that the CMS-1500 was changed to get ready for the ICD-10 code set implication, the transition started October 1 st , 2014. On the 2014 revision claim it allows the coder to indicate if they are using ICD-9 or if they are using ICD-10. Another update that was on the claim form is the revised form allows for additional diagnosis codes, pervious versions allowed 4 codes and the revised code allows 12. Post 2 Weekly Overview – this week I am hoping to learn more about the CMS-1500 claims form. I am already familiar with parts of it but I have been having a hard time, unless viewing the form, remembering what goes where does anyone have any tips on remembering the form? I know we are going to have to answer questions about it on the CBCS test and I really would like to be able to pass those questions as they seem pretty easy Post 3

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
