The International Standard for Technical Education (ISTE) Standards for Educators is most relevant to my current teaching position in a preschool classroom.As a preschool teacher, I am preparing my students for their futures in education. The ISTE standards are so important for our futures and our students futures because they are growing up in a digital world . One article I read by Brandolyn Patterson saints that “If we want our students to graduate from our campus as globally competent individuals, educators need to model these characteristics for students.” (Patterson 2017). I found that the standards I was drawn to most were the designer standard and the leader standard. As a preschool teacher I am usually the first person other than their parents, that takes the time to show them new activities and new ideas. I am constantly creating ways to use technology in our classroom. I design games and center/station based learning activities that give the students hands on time with their curriculum and the technology that can enhance it. My
