Generality : Our laws, and the institutions which emerge from them, should not provide privileges to individuals in one group that are not extended to individuals in all groups Non-Discrimination/Generality o The principle does not mean: That we can or should deny the “history of racism that is integral to understanding the evolution of American culture” (Azoulay) That we must seek “diversity” or “multiculturalism” as core American values Racism has to be eliminated in order to have a non-discriminatory society Private support for different groups should be banned
