How does the purpose relate to her THESIS? The purpose of Urlich’s textual analysis of her slogan is to make people think that well behaved women can never make history and to make history women should cross their limits. According to Urlich, people think women are only limited to their household chores, make food, rear babies and listen to their husband’s commands. And creating history means fighting for their rights which was done by only ill-mannered women. In the essay she has given examples of three women; Mae west, Rosa parks and Martha ballard who made their history by doing great things. Her thesis was, if any women wants to make history one has to break the rule, do something unexpected or go through the boundary which totally related to her purpose.
