Beale 1 Jonathan Beale Professor Joni Hannigan Com 113 17 July 2016 Audience Analysis When analyzing the classroom as an audience, the classroom can be identified as a passive audience. A passive audience can be defined from Jaffe book Public Speaking, “A passive audience are made up of listeners who are present for a variety of reasons, but not because they are motivated to hear a particular speaker or a particular topic (89). A classroom has passive audience because they are not interested in what topic I may choose to speak about but they are interested in getting a good grade in the class. And when looking at the demographic of the class, it can be see that the classroom has a very wide demographic. In the class there are people who are just out of high school and then there are some who are pursuing higher education in the later part of their lives.
