IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN HEALTH INTRODUCTION Significant evidence shows that most patients today are using Health Information Technology (HIT) for different purposes such as looking for relevant information either for themselves, close family members or even friends (Ahern, Wood, et al. 2011). Patients use health information technology to program appointments, request prescription refills, or message their provider by the use of a secure messaging system (Ahern, Wood, Lightowler, Finley, Houston, 2011). The history of clinical decision support tool systems can let people comprehend how far systems have come, and how much further they ought to go. The dashboards concepts in the 1970 are contributed to the study of decision support systems (Mould, D'Haens, Upton, 2016). Due to the Internet usage upswing in the late 1990’s. There began an appearance of the modern digital dashboards (Mould et al., 2016). Decision dashboards now enable patients to be more aware of the treatments they are receiving (Dolan et al. 2013). Health Information System acts as an interface of technology, people and processes hence enabling delivery of standard and quality services in medicine. As a result of changes, political, social, economic as well as technological factors, the health care system has changed rapidly. They have acquired technologies as regulatory bodies to enforce information systems used in the medical centers. Healthcare facilities, health departments, hospitals, and clinics have adopted electronic systems such as Electronic Medical Record to enhance solving of health care issues on time.

SEBASTIAN works by placing an interface that is standardized in front of clinical decision support knowledge elements. It then makes demands that are limited only on the relevance of patient’s data that are gathered or how the interfaces of decision support converse to the end-users. Electronic Health Record (EHRs) technology that is certified to advance the overall effectiveness as well as the health care quality that encourages patients and their families to participate and maintain the security of health documents. It is an advancement of the manual papers used. The paperwork arrangement is enhanced, and it easies accessibility of the patient’s digital version of charts. This helps eradicate suitable handwriting enabling large storage of the information. Quality and wellbeing of care are benefits that arise in organizations

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
